Along with the Leafy and Weedy Seadragons there are many other things to see in the underwater world of Bremer Bay.
There are large areas of Tubinaria hard coral, soft coral, a wide diversity of Sponges along with a tremendous variety of fish life.
Because we have a narrow water temperature range (17-21°C) each year we have many things that you wouldn’t expect to find this far south, nudibranchs in particular. At certain times of the year we have many tropical species visiting us that survive quite happily in our temperate waters.
In the winter (June-Sept) we have Southern Right Whales calving in the bays particularly at Pt. Anne in the Fitzgerald National Park and if you are lucky enough you can watch them calve from the viewing platforms.
